Post Office to Sell off Unclaimed Packages from Covid Era

PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian Post Office announced it will be selling unclaimed items at a discount and donate the proceeds to the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital.

The announcement from September 5 noted that the post office became congested with packages during Covid-19, when many recipients could not be contacted. Packages that have been stored from 2019-2021 that were unable to be delivered or returned to sender due to lack of address will now be sold.

"In checking the packages, there are some materials that can no longer be stored, so Cambodia Post will sell [the items] at a discount and the proceeds will be donated to all Kantha Bopha Hospitals," the Cambodia Post said.

If the public or a company is interested in the items, they can visit the Cambodia Post Office at the corner of Street 13 and 102, in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district from September 15-30.
